Measured Building Surveyor

Our clients are one of the largest specialist Measured Building Survey practices in London. They are well-established, having focused primarily on the particular needs of property managers, developers and Architects of buildings and land in London and surrounds. They undertake topographic and measured building surveys using a combination of traditional total-station and laser scanning equipment and software.

Their portfolio is an extensive record of all types of buildings including churches, schools, houses, offices, commercial and industrial. Driven by a solid client base who recognise quality over price. A prominent web presence and an increasing workload means they have opened a vacancy for an on-site instrument surveyor. They are looking for a motivated candidate to join the team to help with site data collection using total-station and laser scanning equipment, as well as movement monitoring and some setting out.

Good total-station instrument knowledge and skills required. Laser scanning experience helpful but not essential. All training and equipment provided. Possibility to embark on a survey-specific qualification for the right candidate (Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Surveying).

The ideal candidate will possess all of the following as a minimum:

  • Full UK driving license – this is a site based role
  • Experience in the field of surveying
  • A good work ethic
  • Willingness to learn and progress in the surveying field.
  • Ability and willingness to learn to operate all survey instruments.
  • Be organised, efficient and self motivated.
  • Experience with Laser scanning equipment (not necessary but an advantage)

The salary for this role is £25,000 to £35,000 per annum dependant on experience with excellent benefit package available.
