My client is a well-established, market-leading consultancy offering a ‘one-stop’ solution for all aspects of transport planning, highways scheme design, drainage, environmental planning, implementation and operation. They have offices in both North and South of England at Gateshead, Tyne & Wear and Farnborough, Hampshire.
Main Duties:
· Preparation of detailed Transport Assessments and Transport Statements
· Preparation of Travel Plans as well as Travel Plan Coordination
· Preparation and presentation of technical data and drawings
· Undertaking junction capacity assessments using ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG
· Liaison with clients, contractors and local / national authorities as required
· Attendance at meetings / public consultation events as required
· Management of small / medium sized projects
· Provide support and guidance to junior staff within the team
· Taking ownership of other traffic / transport related tasks as required by your Team Leader
Requirements
Education/ Experience:
- Degree in applicable subject; Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering
· 2-5 years’ experience of UK Transport Planning standards and processes
Technical Skills:
· Advanced use of Microsoft Office software packages
· Advanced understanding of spreadsheets / presentation of technical outputs e.g. traffic flows
· Use of AutoCAD
· Proficient use of ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG

· Ability to work easily and accurately with numbers
