Senior Town Planner

Our clients set up in January 2003 and fast became one of the most prominent planning practices on the south coast.They deal with planning applications and appeals including public inquiries, informal hearings and written representations. The firm is familiar with the procedures and individuals within the various Local Authorities, including the political processes, and pride themselves on their negotiation and problem solving skills.

As a result of successful project wins, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Town Planner to support the client base of property developers, land owners, affordable housing associations, fund managers and private individuals.

The Role:

•Site appraisals
•Planning applications and appeals
•Making representations to Planning Committees
•Planning Enforcement matters
•Development Plan representations \/ site promotion
•Pre application advice
•Certificates of lawfulness
•Changes of use
•Advice on planning obligations (S106) and developer contributions.

The Applicant:

•Formal qualification in Town and Country Planning (Masters\/Postgraduate\/First Degree)
•Full membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute or eligible for full Chartered Membership
•Relevant experience preferably within the private sector
•Commercial awareness and the ability to work on own initiative
•Knowledge and experience of Town & Country Planning regulations
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•A full driving licence

The salary for this role is £28,000 to £38,000 per annum dependant on experience with excellent benefit programmes available.

This role is commutable from: Salisbury, Weymouth and Southampton.
