They are looking for a Principle Structural Engineer that has ambition and drive, as part of succession planning within the offices. Advancement to Technical Manager is a very real possibility for the right candidate within 3 years. This candidate they are anticipating to be job runner, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once, utilising the engineers and technicians available to them.
Directly responsible to: Technical Director
Typical Software: Tekla Structural Design, Tedds, Masterseries, AutoCAD, Revit
Job Definition: Typically 10+ years post degree experience, professionally qualified or have obtained incorporated or equivalent professional institution status. Have a good understanding of construction contracts and terms of appointment. Have solid experience of supervising senior engineers, technicians and graduates. Have good business development activities and to be responsible for the preparation, issue and management of technical project information, including calculations and drawing information, in accordance with the standard requirements. To have a lead responsibility for technical, financial and managerial aspects of complete projects as directed by the Technical Director. To maintain high standards of information presentation and to ensure their accuracy.

The salary for this role is £45,000 to £55,000 per annum dependant on experience with excellent benefit programmes available.
This role is commutable from Salcombe, Kingsbridge and Tavistock.
