CAD/Revit Technician

Technicians provide support to Engineers and Surveyors across the sectors. They produce information using CAD and building information modelling systems such as Revit, as well as carrying out inspections, surveys and site visits.
All technical staff may be required to work across sectors depending upon workload and available resources.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Understand and implement MCA Company Quality Assurance Policies and Procedures.
• Understand and implement MCA Company Environmental Policies and Procedures
• Understand the design process and the role of the consultant.
• Assist the Engineers and Surveyors in the provision of information.
PROJECT ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Receive brief from Engineer in the form of structural sketches or review meeting.
• Produce CAD / BIM drawings / design information, e.g. plans and sections for Engineer approval.
• Produce revisions / updates / amendments to the project information for Engineers.
• Produce reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules for Engineer / QA approval and subsequent ordering / manufacture.
• Develop the detail of the design components of the structure.
• Communication with others of equivalent level from external companies in the delivery team on projects.
• Lead or assist in producing site surveys on site and in the office when required.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES – FINANCIAL
• Ensure Dovico is completed every Friday, and before going on leave, allocating time correctly against projects / tasks.
• Understand the specific project time constraints.
• Understand the basis of the fee proposal.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES – PROCESSES
• Understand and implement the Company’s Health and Safety and Data Protection Policies.
• Gain an awareness and understanding of the management procedures, their importance, application to and impact on projects.

The salary for this role is £25,000 to £40,000 per annum dependant on experience with excellent benefit programmes available.

This position is commutable from Leeds, Harrogate and Hull.
